Prof. Jinxia FENG

Jinxia Feng is Professor at State Key Laboratory of Quantum Optics and Quantum Optics Devices, Institute of Opto-Electronics, Shanxi University. She obtained Ph.D. degree in Physics from Shanxi University in 2008. She worked as a postdoc at Laboratoire Kastler Brossel, Université Pierre et Marie Curie from 2009 to 2010. Her research experience ranges from all-solid-state laser technique, generation of continuous variables quantum state of optical field, quantum information processing, quantum metrology to optical quantum device and applications. Now she focuses on quantum information processing with continuous variables over optical fibers, and how to establish metropolitan fiber quantum communication network with continuous variables quantum entangled state optical field.

Quantum information processing with continuous variables over optical fibers

Metropolitan fiber quantum communication network is the key step to construct quantum communication network. Owing to continuous variable (CV) quantum entangled states of optical field can be generated unconditionally and deterministically, high-performance quantum information processing with continuous variables based on quantum states of optical field can be achieved. However, quantum information processing with continuous variable over optical fiber is a great challenge. In the lecture, I will introduce the concept, preparation and manipulation methods for optical quantum state which plays important roles for quantum information processing with continuous variables. Then, I will present the recent research progress in CV fiber quantum communication (such as quantum teleportation, quantum swapping and distribution of quantum steering etc.) and CV quantum error correction over optical fibers.
